MEET Sandhya Praveen
NP Sandhya praveen is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in psychiatry to diagnose, treat and prescribe medications for children, adolescent and adults. Some of her practice specialty includes ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorders and Schizophrenia. Sandhya has a Masters of Science degree in nursing – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Fairleigh Dickerson University.
Sandhya Praveen believes in individualized treatment plan for every patient that include medication therapy and psychotherapy. Treatments includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other psychotherapy treatments.
She believes that a significant advantage of telepsychiatry is that it can provide a practical and effective alternative to in-person psychiatric services from the comfort of one’s home. It is suitable for people of all ages including children, adolescent and adults.
